as i recall, you were not bad at all.
being as small as they were, and just as confused-
you came, too aware of yourself-
lips tasting of starburst candy.
the shed seemed the place to lick it out-
each being 6- copying the couples on channel 6
just the gal across the street.

an itchy blanket
where they smother
dreams
babylike-
a glass jar
and a lid
without holes-
why did we forget
the holes, love?

Her Virgin Voyage
Casting out dark chards of her broken heart
Pure heart falling off edges of stunning love
Her heart flutters down into cold caves of clouds
Her lovers scent now gone!
Virgin walls fall calling out his name
But no name returns all alone tears salt her shame
And night makes its move cradling her hurt heart

First black man in power
The hype would make it seem
What has he done
A voice for his people
Changes remain unseen
Completely inaudible
In the position to make positive
Change for the future black race
But how will that help his campaign

It sounds as though I am in the jungle,
Bird calls drift in through the jalousies,
Echoing bubbles off the walls,
And I realize,
I finally am, free as a bird…
Sleeping night after night in the tree tops,
Building my nest out of what I can gather,
Absorbing life’s wind, blowing through my feathers.

Lying awake in the darkness
Thoughts going around my head
Early hours of the morning
Best time of the day
The quietest moment
Feels like the whole world is asleep
Everything feels at peace
Contemplating life
Only distraction is the faint breathing
Of my lover lying by my side

I'm waiting for the moment, which may never come... at least I know I waited, and that is worth the every moment, I had waited on.
But tonight I'll burn the city down, for you and all the ghosts in town
That waited on the setting sun, the moment we were taken from.
Tonight I'll burn the city down, to ashes all and everyone.

Welcome to the Nightmare
(The Black Guardian)
So I've been welcomed into the nightmare, but when will you let me out?
Poisons are releasing, through my veins I tried to cut my doubt
as you grazed my heart slowly. I always recede to nothingness, this is what I am,
because you made me.
Won't you elevate my consciousness, and give me back that thing
you call it life?

No satisfaction
It's not something we can know
If we find our peace

I was born
In the depths of dreaming
You ended
In the phantoms of obscurity
I was there
You ended
In the depths of dreaming
I was born

lonely traveller
who has travelled
so far
left behind
closing doors
i hold a piece of your heart
and when the silence
of the night falls
whisper to me
living stone circles
encircling me
living light space and time

Christened to become a fly
with a million rotten eyes
I chew on you, as you feed me
I am feeding from a pool of dead lies
swamp infested waters of maggots and flies
