The Road

The night sky is clear, the road is long,

And the miles are many before I sleep.

I turn the radio off and roll down

The windows to let the moment in.

There is a faint touch of cool autumn

In the wind that whispers across my face.

The moon paints a pale glow on the

            Countryside and the drive ahead.

are you out of your god damn mind?

why yes sir, im out of my God! Damned! Mind!, but in the future we are all gonna be out of time

at the fork in the road go straight on

the slopes are long, the hills are high

we can be singin and dancin way into the nigh

will you follow me to the cruel end of this pleasant and joyous life

will you be my law abiding, caring, sexy ass, loving wife

I am the fierce furnace of fire

Stoked by my dedication of pleasure and desire

I am the secret each of us must beseech

With hair pinned back and black and sleek

I am a flight, a hot shot, and at your greatest loss I will speak

I am those special words in the nighttime you so fervently seek

The filaments of our life is so greatly underrated

A million miles of incandescent light has awaited

Our lips burn the mind churns and we become saturated

So much anger so much hate.
I hear her voice and I debate.
What does she want. To be my friend or take her life and rub it in.
Moved on and moved away was it easy for you?
Do you stop to think of the things that you do
So quick to blame others for this and that. Never do you mention your role in the spat
The affect that you have on the hearts that you touch
When your selfish anger is all that you clutch.
You wonder why others don't give a fuck
Your venomous words are like a punch in the gut
Life moves on and I will too, but I hope these words ring out true.
Because these words are just for you.

This isn’t a Mother’s Day gift,
a gift to celebrate the accomplishments
of my mother, a matriarchal contribution
to the world, or a blessing for myself. What I want
to imagine is a hot room, cooled
by the breeze of a small fan and an open window.
My mother, sweat-soaked,
seventeen, a child holding a child,

self admiration, ego and loving one self

the head grows into ones perfect vision

stare at yourself within the confines of a mirror

the reflection you see is so god like

theres no fault in what you feel tonight

you can feel your heart racing as you hold on to the mic

the people in the palm of your hand hang on to the stage

theres no fault in what you feel tonight

except you're not in your own mind singing

a wild animal has crept upon the shore of your mind

It will be long past sundown

Before you make your camp

The mist closes ‘round you

And night turns fearful damp

Don't speak to Aphrodite

She's got nothing more to say

Another exile from

this kingdom of clay

Writers block desperation takes hold

Maybe if I relax the mind the words will flow

Inspiration does not unfold

The flow form my pen seems to be at a end

Ink as dry as the the emotion inside

Feelings no longer flows freely

Thoughts are foggy

Life no longer inspires me

My mood is dark

To difficult to put together the words

We watched the suns silk begin to rise

Pink became the beauty in morning sky

Clouds scratched the back of mountains

Snow cap cones became frozen fountains

My eyes began melting and no wonder why

Two bald eagles were making love to the sky

.

We danced the night around open flames

No other place have I been so untamed

Yellowstone home of nature’s freedom

Repairs the soul and stop’s the bleed’ in

And as the ground begins to tremble

Old faithful still her number one symbol

The fear of ink,

   That stiffens me so,

Words left unsaid,

   The dam in my flow,

Verses written in,

   Cerebral mode,

No time for paper,

   Rhyme on the go,

Beware my key board friends

One wrong stroke be the end

By those who never papered a pen

Predator whom envy eye offends

.

Judges of never before

Against your rising hills

They who climb never more

Passionate poems they must kill

.
