Of what decay of decline must a man climb
For his honor to define such a loss of grace
Other sons felt heat from devastating defeat

I want you to go
To preschool
And mash the crayola crayons
Into tiny shards of wax
And bulldoze every block tower

Sunrise 5AM
In the expanse of an open field, a u-seat swing creaks, sweeping back and forth.
The marsh of spongy woodchips blankets a rectangle, cedar carpet with plywood parameters. Area: 1500 square feet. 12 and ½ feet high at the top of the tallest slide.

Im Scorched
A burnt yellow in disregard
for daily tasks, and words.
I hate them. It's all I can muster.

I still remember the way your knee bumped so casually into mine,
as to speak softly like one tender finger outlining lips -so sensual.
The intensity in your green eyes, I recall with fascination never departing.
Or the comical prose which led our fleeting embrace to begin.

I try to make love to my husband,
While sheep jokes tell themselves in my head,
Remnants of you.
I take a blast from the peace pipe,
And my mind hits the ceiling, before the smoke does,
Remnants of you.

A story for two
Every page written for you
A glimpse into life, beyond the wall
What it is and would be
An experience of darkness and light
A truer life never lived before
A greater love never wanted more

When human class so pure extends past all light
In souls only can it shine
In heart full of grace from this human race
Within ourselves can we finally find
An answer to life so divine

It was a tale for you it was paradise I experienced in the dark

Lines run
Into blurred horizons
Clashing with the
Colors so bold
Warring silently
In twisted hues and shades
Trying to decide the day
