My tongue,
Craves the taste of you.
My skin,
Desires the touch of you.
I want you,
I need you,
Inside of me.

We;
In the everywhere park
Smaller than most sun sparks
Aware of the charging dark
We search for blazing bright
We brush against beauty
Unaware it’s our duty
Molecules emitting light

Bewildered, oh bewildered love
Justifies me and you.
I am a ascestic fabricated role,
portrayed out for you.
I hope not to be alone,
Are you my safety? My shelter?
A home for my wondering mind
I have to bless, only you.

She sits in the dark,
Stitches in hand.
And she sews her mouth shut,
Qui---et!

Crack the clouds
Draw da butter sun down
Moon has her shiny lies
Given to you and I
Waterfalls without sound
Our lines got crossed
Our love was lost
And ghost are never found
The earth and sky are left to try
To mend the trembling ground

And I the small child whose parent’s conversation passed above his head like blue clouds that were too high to touch, too high and way too airy to duck. The undiscovered words would spring from mothers julep lips as if sipping aromas that match the adult juice in their tulip glasses. As father caught the words he would refuse to hold onto them and they would

Inscription? Libelous assignment.
Refinement’s constrictive encryption
Affliction? Disability’s consignment.
Belief, bundled subscriptions
Transcriptions? Twisted violent.
Solicitation’s exemplary conniptions
Proscription? Intellectually compliant.

I don’t know what I was waiting for.
I don’t know how I was going to explain myself…
For the feelings that I have… had.
For the feelings that won’t subside.

Household? More like a mouse-hold
But they’ve been told you can’t mold
Cardboard into a glass cage
Sudden rage at the rampage
Cut out the light and hold tight
Sudden moves cause sudden fright
And then flight; wait moments right
Just hold the light, he won’t bite
One-man animal control
Patrol, cajole, sweep and roll
Hope fades to black
Then with a smack
He’s trapped against the wall
It’s over, after all
Yet they’ve already been told
So it will surely unfold
In a similar way by the end of the day
Next time they can pay for a more permanent way
Or hey, just let them play
It’s not my place to say
So I must simply fold
Welcome to the mouse-hold

A soldier’s life is
Bitter cold butter
Under a hot cutter knife
Give peace a chance!
Hey, I was fighting for our life
Clouds fell down
Heaven fell behind
Snow was no longer gentle
Not in American time

The Metronome of
my mind
Newton and Thoreau.
Click clack
predictable and friendly,
my mind tuned to find the
beat, a soft comfort.
few others can feel the rhythm -
the music -
playing in my mind.
