My immigrant friend,
You are to me everything ignorant ones don't want to see,
Which is,
That you are a human being,
Whose striving hard to achieve,
Dreams your native country wouldn't let be,
Because they knew you would prevail pass they're democracy,
Which was set from the start to hold you at their peak,
So you came to a country that you heard to be,
A place where you can have a fair chance to seek,
The opportunities to be the Great you feel inside deep,
Crying to be released into freedom,
Because you truly desire your independence,
To stand on your own,

Here I stand and here I stay,
In an alluring old town of Sicily,
Vast blue mountains night and day,
And wild flowers in the fields,
The decrepit stone street in which we play,
Will never be the same.

The Creature Grizelda Crept

The creature Grizelda crept
casting a web of  baneful deceit
A widow of ebony to be sure
impaling her lovers beneath her feet
With her dusky locks, bosoms lush
entrancing smile and siren song
They take the bait in blind trust
she lures them in and strings them along
Keeping them close with seductive whiles
she infiltrates what they holds dear
and feeding from their life's labors
with lurid intent precise and clear
The widow now will strike them down
weary soles of these drained men
Since laid slain and entombed forever
she'll pursue again and again and again

we are all there
awaiting what life would offer us
but didn't know that while waiting
we passed through all the goods and the greats
we sorrow for what we lost
some stay stuck in their own puddle
while others move on

Swirls, loops, hills, and dips
Minding his curls and zags,
A flow of such an assorted mix
Ink that fades; memory that lasts
Swirls, loops, hills, and dips
Sheets awaiting the dreamers sewn seeds of aspirations,
Fortunes only found in movie scripts
A story written in the stars constellation

If the Flowering Fields of May Could Sing

How the poets love to boast,
Of all those things they find fair.
But from Western shore to Eastern Coast,
I've found no beauty which compares.

And what to say of your soul?
When I know no words would do it just,
Neither angel wings or halo,
Would flatter my muse quite enough.

Fear

When the day is far gone and sky lightens with moon,
From core of the forest, now she’ll be crying soon,
With the howl of the wolves and the squeaks of the bat,
You will hear, noise of fear, you thought you never had,
They say behind the woods, lives a girl with gray hair,
Her eyes those glow in night, in the murk she was bear,
Some said that she was left, in the woods, in a cave,
Others, she flushed with stream, and landed to the grave,
As the night gets older, she dances on the branch,
Hearing to her hum that gets you to the trance,
To the land of the gloom and whispers in the air,
And the chant goes all wrong, just when she smells your fear,
The chiming of wind bells, those are hanging to door,
The crackling from closet has started hitting floor,
And all buzz from the woods, that is getting so loud,
From window stares the moon, hidden behind the cloud,
Then gush you feel on neck as she wails in your ear
“Pal, do not turn around! I am standing right here.”

Legend

Little lass she was in world so bad,
A purpose with her, huge dreams she had,
Stars she would watch shining in the sky,
Some at the top while some in her eyes
In the dreary world she stood for site,
She poised alone for what that was right,
Timid she was when they left for light,
Aghast as she chose path dark as night
The dark land of miff and huff and roar,
She stumbled, failed then got up from floor,
They mocked and jabbed that she lost her spark,
But her mom once told gems glitz in dark,
The more they hit but the more she shined,
Finer she turned to power divine,
They ran for pelf and lived in the mere,
She walked on fire and then drank her fear,
She woke on dusk and slept at the dawn,
Now devil’s scared when she steps on the lawn,
Little she was when they yelled her name,
From crowd of flashes in hall of fame,
Now crowds got big but same is the name,
The time has swapped so new is the game,
All were idle when she worked in faith,
To live like legend and have grand death,
When she was gone, the fliers they glide,
Earth lost her smirk and the blue sky cried,
They came back home, thought she was no more,
In pain and scrape, she bawled from heart core,
Now she stays in mind and souls to mend,
That’s how she was legend and lived till end.

Acid Veins
Spidering martianscapes,
Ancient valleys
Ruddy and carved deep,
Under wind-bitten sutures;
The Rover rumbles

Finding ghostly faces
Of maybe once

Birds that fly

Birds that die,

You’re all the same

Restless, rare ravens

They pierce the sky

On moonlit nights.

Crazed fears cry

Scared of dreams

You’re all insane

Except I.

The birds will fly

Before they die,

I ran miles

I'd never seen

My fall

In your eyes.

I’ve seen birds fly

I’ve seen them die,

So we baptised

The black raven’s back

With white water

Doused the dying

So that bird could fly.

whispering to monster

I'd rather be alone than lonely
sit in a window sill on a rainy day
and feel nothing but pitter patter pitter patter

hold the dark close to me
whisper to the monsters that it will be alright
      I will love them

trading rocks through the streets
rough gentle way comforting everything
the rain shatters out a million dreams
      that break my eyes

rain boots and slickers
spattered nights of reading
lovers quiet under blankets
caught in the rain
that laugh when I tell them stories of
rats fleeing gutters
an old man who is stronger than he
remembers

how the distance is less
if you promise to never arrive

how the promise of goodbye
sings without joy

the memories reflect, broken
in the rained out window panes

rainbows broken

suns come and go

the shadows are hidden and
revealed
       and hidden

I listen to the breaking of the leaves

I love boxes

I love them for how they look

I hate boxes for what they do

I love boxes when they keep me safe;
