What goes up must come down.
No colors can define who you are.
You may own a cart or limousine.
We'll still reach the end when it is near.
I may be poor today and eat from trash.

after our fall
I was not sorry that you left
but always wondered where you went
when we would meet again

a fine and sharp tongued brush
and directs the chaos of her teaching to the walls and the streets

I hear the clack clack clacking
rhythm of the rain
I want to see the milky way all over the world
and collect all its secret names under my hat
smoke dances lightly through my tent
softly
lightly
like a lily and a rose

Her heart in her hands.
Her arms outstretched.
A certain smile striding forward,
“Take it. It’s yours forever.”
His hesitating head tilting sideways,
she upturns his palms,
curls his fingers around her heart.
A smile. A kiss. A beat.

“I bet I can make her smile again,”
I declare to myself, staring at this faded representation of a beautiful woman.
The portrait highlights tired eyes and a smile that has slipped at its corners.
I’m sure she was once vibrant and full of life.
I bet her smile could make the saddest person happy again.
I can bring back her colors.”
“It’s no use,” a voice behind me declares. “I’ve tried many times.”
“And who are you?”

The long awaited heat on skin burns off the white blanket,
dripping, transfusing the waking earth.
Filtered through gravel and sand the springs surge forth
with melted snow crystals,
flowing past icicles trapped in the shade.

I pull my suitcase into the room and kick the door closed with my foot.
I hurl the bag onto the bench and unzip.
Piling pieces of clothing into a sliding drawer,
I lay a shirt and pants on the bed and pull my shirt up over my head.
The door swings open and I jump.

Pop, let it breathe they say
So you sniff the cork
Admire the label
Select a glass
Sit back and relax

Intoned in moments when
The heart bleeds nostalgia
Recalled in waking dreams when
Thoughts meet the rising sun
Of a distance required by force

Many avenue's of August
Share an epic of delusions
Where the lost girls stroll
The sore of a preacher’s thesis
These eyes behind shades,
Parallels to a dyke
These avenue’s of August
She circles all night
Should I give a damn,
When she needs no more
Sicken by the life
Something’s tattling the soul
In love with a clique
Thus sweeter than honey
These eyes behind shades
Keeps a bitch strolling

The daughters of Jerusalem
Dark and lovely as,
Twelve breast clashing Sheba
Ariela and Gabriel
A goodnight kiss,
To sex a myth, Anja
Soft feathers aside
Night rises of holy ecstasy
Beneath a dreary gown,
Lies a heaven so deeply
Handcuffing and milky
Religiously filthy
The sounds of lust,
Of many blown flutes,
Only once I came
All milky and blue
