Twenty first century poetry

Should be short and sweet

Full of the moon and body heat

Long slender legs

That breaks open with day

Hair unpinned falling away

“The Hennenites”

There is a beauty among us

In this the gathering

Multiple scars impaled

Upon each other

Carving up Cajun words

Near the home of their heart they try

Below the tear of God’s eye they cry

Guilt is the quilt they must sow

Their insane with the name of the throne

‘Unwanted’ Ramblings (Dreams verses Reality).

I dreamt of thee, did thy dream of me?
I dreamt of three, you me and the one yet to be.
It was a nice dream, but it was only a dream.
It was not real, just make believe.

No, it was not real, and it no longer appeals,
For you longer feel, and you once said you felt,
Your allegiance is for someone new,
But to say they are new is to say they were never there before now,
But they were always there,
Hiding in the shadows,
Watching from the shadow,

lonesome blues are coming i fear, time to shed a single tear.

the tear of solitude for a poet without a muse. the end of life for a wordsmith

what to write about now. boredom? potential exploits and conquests?

how about the one that plays hard to get and all her simple tests

it all means something yet in a grand scheme virtual nothingness

i have to end what i had and find a new happiness

i no it will take a while, the search and twist and turns have begun

songs sung and lines wrote, react to all these new shiny ones

The Woman in the Dark Room

Behind the camera,

Watch.

The lady dances,

Her lenses infringing

Upon the senses.

As each timeless iris

Defines the bright flares

At first gaze.

Enlarging hearts

Become parchment

To this queen.

Beyond blood and melanin,

Past exoskeleton,

To souls in need of frames.

There she captures the essence

(A godess' blessing)

And men are whole, again,

Patiently waiting,

Stored in perfection;

Tis true misdirection,

She kept telling me that

you attract more flies with honey

than vinegar.

But you know there are many things that attract flies:

Dung

Garbage

Rotten fruit

i was born with a romantic heart and a poets mind,

its a cruel joke unless you are by my side

i think and write about you and what we do

i laugh about our inside jokes. it comes naturally to me

my attachemnts are strong and my jealousy is a bitch

i envy the secret and our mutuall agreement.

ignore me in public, leave me hanging,

so i want to be pranging or erasing my energy through

frustrated push ups. when i focus my mind on you i wouldnt stop pushing

but then i know you come back to mine

Fire clouds float down from heaven resting on our morning skies

It causes ones heart to be driven into tears as it tears out the insides

Hearts send red hot salt to my eyes and even now I can’t say why

But if I could behold this for a day surely my heart would fly far away

To Wed Or Not To Wed.

Within this day and age,
When living in sin is all the rage,
I ask myself a question,
That flies in the face of tradition,
Why take the time to get married?
Why get wed?

For promises unbroken,
Are vows we have spoken,
And it was then that I said,
That I would love you till death,
So that question remains,
Of why we should wed?

But as we stand here now,
Before our friends and family,

I call on the Divine.

Empower thee.

Let me show the light that shines from my soul.

Allow others to feel my warmth.

I call on Shiva.

The driving force that propels me forward.

May I fly high and graceful, above my earthly self,

With the strength and beauty of a newborn frigate.

it starts like this. how will it end. shrapnel is blowing through my life like little bits of paper in a hole puncher. sqeezed fruit and plastic green giraffes pumpkins and munchkins and other things flowing like the atlantic - or are they exploding like volcanoes. a bit of me and a bit of her
