The dream woke me much like it always did. 

Mommy rushed in like she always did and I cried into her chest until I had no voice. 

“What’s wrong? Did you have a bad dream?” she asked me. 

I shook my head without pulling my head from her chest. “Not bad just kinda sad.

Little Kasey Sampke rubbed his sweaty palms together and stared at the group of presents that sat underneath the tree with hungry anticipation. They came in all sorts of shapes and sizes ranging from the tall and thin one to the house-shaped one buried in the corner. One he even noticed appeared rather soft.

I reminisce upon the time. Female bodies were o  u  t  s t  r e c h e d limber and trained daily routines getting down onto the floor the boys watching from the tiny gymnasium window view and pressure thinking "nail it every count." On cue crouched up jazz hands smash the air on bended knee swivel turn and quick kick jump freeze, pelvis in the air "my I'm almost as flexible I was at eight.

Spotted skin stretch eyes heavy of suitcase. Shallow breath and crusted dishware sun mockingly brightens the house through windows only a hint of light provided it is so bright outside there are still certain corners of this unit that are pitch black. Hair tangled amass cats litter on the floor green glass vase sits on windowsill.
