I live alone in my garden

Praying the wind settles

Wind is not our friend

See it flies us away

White tops caught

In springs breeze

We’ve been together for a while now.

So he knows when I say:

Baby I don’t care where we eat

He pulls into Wang’s China.

When he says something stupid like:

we have no history between us you and i
you ran into me and we glared in anger
me in my pettiness and you in yours
but these things are better left hidden- right?

my aunt died a few weeks ago
her schizophrenia caused self-righteous hypocrisy
i did not attend her funeral. did she

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

Wait! That’s plagiarism.

O my luve’s like a red red rose.

But that sounds familiar too.

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?

Kim-

You are a tyrant in small stature

You scream and yell and pick at me

Like a crow to a piece of flesh

You are picking me apart dear friend.

I like the stillness

The unmoving quiet that settles the dust

I like the unspeaking the unfeeling

The unbreathing of this coffin-bed

I like the lack of worry

Held hostage by the memories for seven years
Stained with the blood of time
You left me with a glass heart
Each passing thought gives another crack
If I think any more it will shatter

Frightening uncertainty of seeing you again
The agony of knowing I can if I tried
knowing just as much

Dismantle the warriors we have come to know.

Disregard the fallen thoughts of the selfish.

Disgrace the time and homes of the past.

And distrust the ideals of the ignorant.

The blind eye in which perception has spawned

Will obliterate the unsuspecting.

So as for the guidance and hope you believe to possess

With blackened eyes you're useless.

With burnt skin you're a whore.

A pointless pity amongst us.

An overwhelming chore.

So take your things and be on your way.
