Hands start to tremble-

Eyes rolling.

Let your body crumble-

Blood boiling.

Laugh your life away

Drink up your fears

Breath in the day-

Toxins erase the tears.

Laughter- constant laughter.

Eyes rolling. Eyes rolling- back.

Colors churning- blacker blacker.

Fading. Fading- black.

"Damnit wake up! Please..."

Sleeping Pill

Laying there in the darkness he stroked her hair running his fingers deep
While bathed in a night light she took a moment before she began to weep
The tear track down and round his thigh for the duvet to reap
She had a secret she wanted to

Alexander

For Riccardo...

Death falls over your grave and the birds sing

The ballad of angels on the battlefield

Death falls over your grave soil falls in

Marked by embroidered sword

The frowning face of history

Marked by the deeds of war

Alexander and history is no more

Beneath my fingertips ancient

The pieces are laid neatly out. No need to count as we sit across from each other. The pawn is the first to go but there are so many more. Standing blindly and deaf they are made quickly and cheaply. Expendable. Replaceable.  Then the next is the knight. Loyal to a fault through sweet

You see I lived Tuesday twice
And if I must be more precise
Actually the moment your car drove away
Then it is a blur for the rest of the day.
But it keeps playing over and over in my mind
How I wish I could go back in time

As Da Vinci staring at a pure slab of marble with chisel in hand

Or Picasso before an empty easel during his Blue Period
So would my grandmother stand preparing her bread.
The tools of her craft would be laid out before her on the table:

The jar
