I have been a poet, writer, and short story author since my teenage years. My first poem was written in the 11th grade simply intitled "Martin Luther King." He had just been assassinated. It was that poem that compelled me to become a writer, But I have never found the right combination to get published short of paying an arm and a leg, and by robbing my grandbabies of their college funds . So I have compiled a portfolio of a host of personal copy righted writings which include 2 books based on my life story(don't everybody think that they have a story or two to tell?) along with a book of poems as well as a book of adages. I am a retired nurse living in a Nursing Home at present, but as life goes anything can change momentarily and I might be living in Beverly Hills or in Government Housing next. You see I believe that life, everybody's, not just mine, is not in the individual's "complete" control, but in God's control. I have entered into His rest and am currently awaiting my next assignment. I believe life is a sequence of assignments given to the individual by God or Satan; depending on whom you serve. I have 3 grown gone and on their own handsome and intelligent sons with 8 of the brightest most beautiful and smartest grandbabies any grandmother or family would love to claim and spoil. I feel electricity in the air. Many changes are coming, and soon. I believe one of those changes has my name on it and I am finally going to get published and recognized for the gifts that God has given me.
