Add Story
Do you have a news story, some poetry or prose to share? Then we welcome you to post your story here on our website.
Your story should have the following elements:
- A title or a name, everything needs a name of some sort.
- An image to associate with your story. Images work best as landscape, and no larger than 1024x768. Images should also be no less then 565px wide. Do not use any image to which you do not own a copyright to, thank you.
- And finally, the content for your story, which should fall into one of the three following categories:
- News
- Poetry
- Prose
In some cases, we may have to make some editorial changes relating to spelling and syntax. Any significant changes will require consultation with you to ensure you are happy with what’s being said.
To submit a story to Hennen's Observer, you must be logged in. If you already have an account on Hennen's Observer: please log in, or register -- it's free and fast.
Please note: It is recommended that you do not paste into the WYSIWYG story editor directly from MS Word, as some formatting may not get preserved properly, and your story may not format as you would wish. You can however clean the text by pasting into windows notepad, and then re-copy and paste the text into the WYSIWYG editor, and using those controls you can bold text, create lists, links, etc.
To get a new line, and not a new paragraph in the WYSIWYG story editor, use <shift><enter>. Pressing <enter> only will form a new paragraph.
